Who We Are...

In the Freedom Garden of Wellness, we believe you are more than your affliction.

Our mission is rooted in the sowing of hope—hope that grows beyond prescription pills, painful side effects, and traumatic treatments. We do not claim titles of doctor or medical practitioner. What we offer instead is wisdom cultivated from years of advanced study and lived experience in holistic wellness.

Our founder, a Credentialed Community Health Worker, Certified Master Gardener and Herbalist is deeply committed to improving health outcomes in communities of color—where dignity, hope, and quality of life are often the first casualties of illness.
We believe healing is not just about survival—it’s about reclaiming your full life.
Yes, you may accept the diagnosis. Yes, you may take your prescribed medications.
And you can embrace natural, holistic tools to nourish your mind, body, and spirit—each step returning you to yourself.

You owe it to yourself to preserve what illness seeks to steal:
✨ Your Dignity.
🌱 Your Hope.
🌞 Your Quality of Life.

Healing begins in the garden—no matter how small.

From the first moment your bare hands touch soil, something sacred stirs. Gardening is more than a pastime—it’s a gateway to emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual restoration.
Soil is alive. Rich with natural bacteria, minerals, and microorganisms, it offers more than nourishment for plants—it offers quiet medicine for the soul. Researchers even suggest that contact with soil may introduce beneficial microbes that support immune health.

And if that isn’t remarkable enough, imagine this:
Spending just 30 minutes barefoot on Earth—walking across your yard, basking in a sunlit garden, or strolling a quiet beach—can invite healing energy into your body. This ancient practice is called Grounding. And while it may sound unconventional to some, the healing speaks for itself.
Nature is not just outside of us—it’s part of us.

🌿 Touch the soil. Feel the Earth. Let it remind you that healing is always within reach.

We have three main focuses for the Freedom Garden;

  • To Help Combat Food Insecurity Within Our Communities

  • To Bring Awareness To The Healing Power of Medicinal Herbs, Edible Flowers and Roots

  • To Advocate, Support and Be A Visible Resource in Our Community

We don’t just grow herbs—we grow hope.
At Bethany’s Freedom Garden of Wellness, we believe in practicing every principle we preach. As a proud subsidiary of Bethany’s Hope & Community Support, we are dedicated to cultivating wellness from the soil up—sharing the fruits of our labor with you, our community.
All herbs, fruits, and roots are grown sustainably and organically, without the use of pesticides, fungicides, or excessive commercial fertilizers. We embrace time-honored and Earth-respecting practices:
🌧️ Harvesting rainwater
🌿 Composting and recycling
🌱 Saving and sowing next-generation seeds
🌸 Preserving native plants, wildlife, and pollinators
We believe healing must include the planet. Every garden bed, every herbal blend, every sun-dried leaf reflects our reverence for nature and our commitment to doing our small part to sustain this beautifully gifted Earth.
